40" - 50" Widescreen Plasma or LCD TV options?

I searched through 'hot deals' but didn't find much in the way of 40+ displays. What are the tradeoffs between plasma displays and lcd tv's of this size? What are some good hot deals on these items?

It will be for a small office. Mostly it will play CNN or a similar channel, but it would be good to have something that displays powerpoint or webpages well for meetings. We're looking for 40-50 inch displays for <$3000 or <$2000.

42+ inch display that is wall-mountable and looks decent for presentations? What am i looking at?
