This is a one off, no responsible gun owner would have let this happen./eyeroll
There was a law enforcement officer on the way to the airport with his kids in the van and he had put his service firearm under the seat. One toddler shot the other.

Funny how so many 2A advocates purport to be responsible gun owners while not lifting even a raised eyebrow to in one way or another assist in reducing the number of gun related deaths that killed over 48,000 of their fellow Americans in 2021, many or most of whom were fellow 2A advocates themselves.

These proud heavily armed citizens will of course blame the gov't for those deaths while hypocritically demanding their representatives in gov't do absolutely nothing about it.

I mean, WTF?

edit - BTW, I own a two sidearms, a bolt action scoped rifle and a shotgun and advocate for improved updated laws that will keep firearms out of the wrong hands.

Just imagine if an American Muslim group was hunting down white people. They would enact gun legislation faster than they can say Gov Ronald Regan.

Well that sounds like the other toddler should have been armed. Instead we have yet another defenseless kid being killed by a gun. Some day you ammo-phobes will get the picture when it happens to you!

I find it strange no one is demonstrating sympathy for the poor child. I feel for the parents as kids this age are truly innocent. And how bad a mother do you have to be, or how bad a foster system must you have, so that your child is taken from you and put into a house like this?

Why even point the gun at the child? What would it teach the child to see a gun against it chest? the stupidity. The only gun safety you teach a four-year old, is "never touch a gun, run and tell an adult if you see one". Wow, just wow. Some people are simply too stupid to be in society.
Thoughts and prayers are meaningless

In the Tallahassee paper today the front page story is about 2 one yr-old children left unattended in a house with several unsecured guns. Result? You guessed it. Either one shot the other, or one shot himself. In any case, one died.

Last week, a 14 yr-old was accidently shot and killed here by his 8 yr-old brother who was playing with a gun in the family's hotel room.

And yet it's never enough death to say that every Tom, Dick and Harry should NOT have the right to own guns.

Not a thread hijack but just making a point. More kids being killed from incidents like this vs woman carrying a fetus to 8 months 3 week and having an abortion for no medical reason.

Considering the thread is about shootings and has nothing to do with abortion, and considering abortion and shootings have nothing to do with each other, I'd call it a thread hijack.
