4 x Raptors RAID 0

Not bad for SATA, congratulations !...... I think I had 200 and 170 (read/write) with mine, and they are only SCSI 160. But in real life, the 128 smart cache and the command queing really make a difference. You probably spent a lot less than I did though..

VS used 18 gig 10k at $70 eachx5=$350 plus a $200 used controller=550. Yours is cheaper. Plus I only get 100 gig

4x Raptors RAID0 = pointless.

4x 160GB Raid 10 gives you more capacity, redundancy, reduced cost, and IS FASTER in almost all real world applications.

P.S. Atto is easily skewed by caching, example: Atto on my 4 WD2000JDs in RAID10, and it rolls over for values over 1GB/s (hence the funny results seen on 512K and 1024K).

Other benchmarks tell me that the nForce3 Ultra SATA RAID controller on my MSI K8N Neo2 throttles the total thruput at 152.6MB/s.
