I am planning to get a Q6600 stepping G0 and gigabyte ds4. Problem is with ram. I want to go with 4 sticks of ddr 800 ram, but the problem is that my friend said its better to have two sticks for better overclocking performance. Is that true? I rather just get 4 sticks x 1gb which is way cheaper. Does it really make a difference in overclocking? This is the ram that I was looking at...

Also, what do you guys think about OZ ram, i never went with them before, any good reviews for them?

That's still quite high a price. You can get 2 x 2x1GB kits for about 80 bucks after rebates. Then again, most rebates won't work with the same address for 2 of the same products. Only 1 product per household. A workaround is get 2 slightly different kits of the same speed.

I have no idea what he means. I o/c 4 sticks of 2 different Ballistix (for rebate purposes) fine. If I o/c 1 kit, it will yield like a 50mhz difference. I would rather save money & get 4 sticks for now, then upgrade to 4 sticks of 2gb & sell the old ones when the 2x2GB drops to 2X1GB prices.
