I notice tonight that when playing q3 with 4 speaker setup with my Santa cruz that there is some frames that drop like a brick. I mean i get atleast 70 frames easy at 1024 resolution with my V5 but damn when alot of explosions or accessory armor or health sounds all happen in heavy battle the frames drop heavy. I tried it with 2 speakers and it didn't do it so much as with 4 speakers. My quesiton for you guys, when using four speaker setup, are you experiencing frame dropping?

Another thing is, i don't know about you guys but i can't stand to play q3 on 1 processor. Its too unrepsonive for me. I prefer dual r smp 1 config better. :)

Umm no offense but SB sucks bro, which is the reason why everyone who has a Santa cruz and GTXP are NOT giving those cards up. I know the reason behind the frame dropping. Its the Sensura 3D sound providing accurate playback(the SB doesn't have a 3D sound API, EAX is Not 3D posisitional sound) in software. Basically relying on the cpu for those calculations for a 4 channel setup. When the hardware based version of the new Santa cruz, this type of situation will be solved.

Im not sure if running a quad speaker set is really the issue. I have noticed the same problem with me also with the SC once you start tweaking the effects and reverb settings. Running Q3 with that 3d game preset in the SC really made Q3 take a dump on me in the upper 5 and 6 levels. If I ran the SC in quad speaker mode with just alittle slap reverb and shut down the second effect setting everything would run fine without a fps slowdown. Try this out and let me know if you come to the same conclusion.

I refuse to buy a card which has the name of a fat man in red clothes, and a type of fungus in it.

LMAO@Tuna , Tell me what makes the SB LIVE! A better component verse the SC, please use Feature based facts and not your own judgement.
