$4 slotkets....

Anyone whose ever seen an Abit SlotKET III, will find that these look strangely familiar. The only difference I can see is that this version doesn't have the 66/100/133 FSB jumpers. BTW, if you buy 20 or more, they're only $2.85.

just saw the same thing about 2 hours ago ( 6 PM EST) and ordered a few to see how they perform

these look too similar to the abits.

Good luck selling 'em Russ : )

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the CPU side of the slocket looks slightly different esp. on the left besides the lack of the FSB jumpers. Furthermore, it's a PPGA slocket only, not FC-PGA. However, I don't have an Abit in front of me right now, so my memory could be faulty. I think the thing that makes it look the most similar is the cartridge and the big honkin' sticker.

In any case, that would be a bad thing, since it seems the Abit's are not as good as the MSI MS-6905 Master slockets. So far most of us who have tested them have gotten better stability out of the MSIs. (I've only tested one of each, but others have tested several.) However, if you don't plan on overclocking the Abit ones seem fine. I wonder how the Soltek performs and for $2.85 you can't complain.

I am constantly amazed at how cheap motherboards and slockets and such are.
