Should I go with 4 Raptor hard drives? I have seen some benchmarks show some fast speed action with this setup.

why should u want to go with 4 raptors? every benchmark shows that hte raptor isnt a major performance boost from 7200rpm drives. yes, they are fast, but going wtih 4 raptors for very little storage and for all that money? 300gb of space is not a lot when you're spending $720 on them.

That would be the biggest waste of money ever.

Buy a Seagate 200 or 400 gig 7200RPM or a Hitachi 250 or 400 gig and be done with it

or get two 200's or two 250's

for the amount of money youre fixing to pump into that IO system why dont you get a nice SCSI system instead.

get a 15k boot drive and a few 10k drives

yeah get one and run ur OS, and games and maybe some other apps off it.
no need to store music, videos etc on a raptor.
just buy 200GB SATA 7200rpm

I have 1 Raptor 74 for OS, games, programs and a 400GB Seagate for media. This setup works very nicely - plus it only costed me 375$ total.
