4 Port USB Hub. Found one for under $20. Does Belkin make good ones?

I saw a Belkin 4 port USB Hub for less than $20 and wanted to see if it looks good to everyone.

My wife's PC has 2 USB ports in the back. She uses it for her digital camera and her USB flash drive. I'm basically just looking for a way to get a port or two that can be placed on her desk to make things easier. This hub has 4 ports, a long cable to go to the PC, and a Power Supply.

I really only need 2 ports but I'm not sure I'll even find a 2 port hub for less than this one is. Has anyone used this or a similar item that can tell me if they work well? If you know of a cheaper one at OM or OD, I'm open to suggestions... Just want something pretty inexpensive.

Thanks.

Just keep in mind those Belkin economy hubs are USB 1.1 only, so they won't work so well if you plan to plug in any high speed USB devices. Otherwise, I've had no problems with my Belkin.

I bought the one above from OM today. Guy I work with says he has one just like it and it's great. I don't have any USB2 devices (camera, flash drive, scanner, mouse, etc) so the 1.1 is fine.

We'll see how it works. But for $20, it's great.

I got one of these a couple of weeks ago on sale at Office Max:

It's USB 2, works OK for me. Only a few $$ more than the USB 1 you linked.

I searched for HUB which found basically nothign and for USB which didn't seem to mention any hubs. Is there a deal on this item or on some other hub? Also OfficeMax didn't seem to have an ad this week around here either.

Point me in the right dirction if there's a comperable or better one for less.

THe mainthing is it needs to have at least a 3' cable to connect the PC to the hub so I can sit it on my desk. And for now self powered is fine but if it had an external power source that'd be even better (but not required).

why does the 3' thing matter? just buy a longer cable. as long as you don't do anything foolish and buy USB cable at Staples or something, they're cheap.
