4-port KVM switch issues

Last week I bought this KVM switch from Newegg, and it came this week, so I set it up this weekend. I've got 3 computers running on it right now (my main Windows XP Pro machine, a shuttle PC running XP Pro, and a computer running Red Hat 9) and everything seems fine for the most part.
However, once I switch off of my main computer onto another, and then come back, the extra functionality of my MX700 mouse stops. I can use the right/left mouse buttons, but I can't scroll with the wheel or use any of the extra buttons on it. It seems to work fine on the other machines where I don't have the Logitech software installed, however. I've tried updating the software, but it doesn't seem to have helped. When I did this, I also reinstalled it while hooked up via a ps/2 port, because previously it was installed as a USB device. Is there a way to make it retain functionality? Whenever I reboot it comes back, but as soon as I switch back to it from another computer, it doesn't work. The extra features of my Logitech Elite keyboard seems to stay and have no problems, however.

Also, I'm trying to hook my laptop up to the KVM. It's an IBM T30 laptop, so it doesn't have PS/2 ports for the keyboard/mouse. I got a PS/2->USB converter from a friend, but when Windows (XP Pro) boots up on the laptop, it says it's an unknown USB device and that it failed... so I have to use the keyboard/mouse on the laptop, which makes using the KVM pointless on it. Is there a way to get it working, or is it possible the converter is just really old or something and isn't recognize by Windows XP?

Thanks in advance for any help

Most KVMs have a key combination that resets the KVM to fix such issues. Check in your manual for something along the lines of a calibration or reset key combination to try and fix the issue.

A lot of KVM's don't work well for switching of devices that use drivers.

These types of problem use to be associated with the cheaper/lower quality KVMs. Probably the same in this instance, although i've never heard of these complaints in years.

Thanks for the suggestions.... I don't see anything in the documentation about being able to reset it, or anything else similar. In the troubleshooting section the only thing it really mentions is to make sure the mouse port is securely seated, and that it is a PS/2 mouse... or if it's a combo, make sure it's set to PS/2 mode, which it is.

I think I'm going to try emailing the manufacturer and see if they have any info for me.
Thanks for the input.
