4-pin to 3-pin fan adapter

Hello all,

I recently installed my FanMate2 on my Zalman 7000Cu CPU Cooler, and I am amazed at what a difference the noise levels are when I turn it down (for quiet times and music). I'm fairly convinced I should purchase a fan controller for my other 5 case fans so I can turn the fans up and down as the time dictates.

Unfortunately, all my case fans are 4 pins, and most all fan controllers that allow complete shutdown of fans require a 3-pin connector. I would appreciate someone's discovery of an adapter to allow me to power these 4 pins off the fan controller.

I found this adapter online. However, it seems odd, because wouldn't the molex end need to be a male end to input power, as this would substitute for the male molex on the PSU for powering? Yet the description says otherwise...

Help on finding an appropriate adapter would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Jaimie

Jose is right...Here is a four pin to three pin adpater...and for 99 cents.

You could also just 7 or 5 volt your case fans...Easy and free.

when you buy a fan controller, it usually comes with serveral converters...

since most of the fan controllers have 4 fan controlls, and you have 5 fans,
you might need 'y' cable converter (splitter)

I had THIS and it came with all the converters i needed, including 'y' converter

I highly recommend this

if you want, i can sell it for $11 shipped
