Anyone know of a decent 4 or 5-channel amplifier that also has a built in auxiliary audio input?

I will be getting a Pioneer AppRadio 2 and the only input it has is the USB connection for the iPod/iPhone/Android device. My car has a stock/OEM 3.5mm audio jack built into the console and I'd like to be able to use that still when I get the AppRadio 2.

The OEM 3.5mm jack is on the dash. You connect an iPod, media player, etc. (anything with a headphone jack) to the 3.5mm jack on the dash. I cut off the end of the jack that plugged into the original stereo and soldered a male 3.5mm plug on that end. I've been using it with all of the previous HUs I've had w/ o any problems.

So now that I'll be getting the AppRadio 2 (which as no inputs whatsoever except for the USB input), I won't have anywhere to plug that OEM 3.5mm input. So I'd like any recommendations on a 4 or 5-channel amp. that has a 3.5mm auxiliary input.

Why not just get a USB to 3.5mm? And then get a USB splitter... Not sure if it would work, but I don't see why not.

Every amp has an "aux" input. Its suppose to be line-level anyway. But will it work the way you imagine? Sort of. You'd have to use your media player/phone/etc to control the volume of the music. Is it idea? No. Will it work as a hack job? Yes.

I know I've seen amplifiers before that highlighted their 3.5mm input feature as a selling point. I don't remember the brand or model number though.

Not to say you're wrong, but I've never seen such a feature on any mainstream amp. That said, what is about that you like so much about the App Radio? Given the price there are a number of DVD receivers that may suit your needs too.

if you get something with bluetooth audio streaming, you will not even need a cable. ;)

I know that. The AppRadio 2 is what I'm set on and it does not support A2DP profile (bluetooth audio streaming).

I'll just look for a place that might still have that Blaupunkt amplifier.

Had a DVD receiver and never used the DVD / CD feature. I don't even have CDs anymore.

All I want is a mech-less receiver to connect my iPod, iPhone, iPad and any other 3.5mm equipped device to.

Here we go (not that Blaupunkt is a great brand), but I found one of the ones I saw:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-myGCTH...-THA475PnP.html?tab=detailed_info#details-tab
So all they did is put a pair of 3.5mm jacks next to the normal RCA jacks and called it an extra feature? The signal is the same going into either!

Buy a few of these: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=249-138

And end up with the same thing.

Just get a cable like this:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10218&cs_id=1021815&p_id=5596&seq=1&format=2

and you can use any amp you want. If you need F, R, and sub channels just get a bunch of splitters. For a more professional install get an equalizer that takes a stereo input and splits it into 3 high voltage outputs. Plus you can shape the sound to your liking with the EQ. That was what I did when I was using a tablet in my car.

Do most amps. let you use both the high level inputs (speaker wire input) and low level inputs (RCA inputs) at the same time?
