NBC just said 4 men trying to board another aircraft were arrested today...they were on the FBI's watch list and it was reported they had pilot's I.D. and forged documents...sounds as if none of this is over yet...hopefully everyone will be on their toes @ the airports...

CBS just reported they were being questioned for immigration violations. They said not related to terrorist activity.

Does anyone other than me ever think that the FBI is just saying this crap so they can get those under watch into a holding cell to make sure they aren't planning anything else??

No Criminal Charges = 24 hour detention
Immigration Violation = Indefinite detention

There are reasons for choosing their words wisely.

<< No Criminal Charges = 24 hour detention >>

more like 72 hrs...and if what I heard from NBC is true about the documentation these "men" were carrying,it sure looks suspiciously bad...unrelated to the terrorists???BAH!!

I just heard about this on the news. They said 3 not 4, so I'm not sure what is correct.
Here is the rest of what I heard:
- they had pilots licences
- had airline identity badges, but didn't work for the airline
- were from Saudi Arabia

I don't know how they caught them, but I'm sure glad they did.

just breaking news? any links to confirm? If they are indeed a part of the terrorist group, I'm glad they're pulled down before they can do further damage.

I'm starting to wonder whether the consecutive #'s resulting from adding the number of each planes side by side as someone posted earler, 11, 12, 13, 14 actually is a clue to something? I mean, yesterday there was a bomb threat, on the 12th. Today, another threat, on the 13th. What will we make of tomorrow? I don't even want to guess :( And the fact that the hit occured on 9-11-2001 or 911 really makes me start to wonder...

Are there going to be copy cat attempts now? Or is this not actually over? Does anyone know when the airports will reopen?

2 of the detainee's had plane tickets that were origiinally for tuesday...when they were asked to deboard the plane they protested and produced airline pilots licenses that were forged

I don't know if that was the original plan but I think it's genius to open up New York airports and wait for potential suspects to come through. Then once they find something suspicious, shut it back down again. And continue with the cycle.

At JFK they grabbed 4 men and a woman!

At LaGuardia it was 5 men.

One group had a flight manual from the same Florida-based flight school as the other hijackers AND they also had knives on them!!!

I'd be suspicious of anything like this being reported. The networks are gonna be be pretty "quick on the trigger". It's pretty easy to report and not so easy to retract the report.

IMO.....This seems unlikely.

They just arrested 9 men and 1 woman at Kennedy Intl and 5 men at Logan, they had knives and pilot licenses. Scary stuff. I've been having www.abcnews.com live in the background on my comp while I'm in the AT forums.

Sorry: MadRat beat me too it, lol

In all probability, I think it is terrorists. Think about it. 10 people at one airport, 5 at another, making 15 people altogether, just like last time (IIRC). The terrorists were apparently going for the white house plus another target, which never got accomplished
