In Network Neighborhood I can only see 3 machines connected to the Network when there are actually 4. Why?

All the other PC's show 4. Also, the machine that I can't see, can only see 3 as well.

Any ideas why?

I will check when I return to work, but I don't understand how this would effect only these 2 machines. Everyone else on the network has no problem seeing these two machines, so if they were missing protocols, wouldn't other computers be experiencing the same problem?

i have found Networking to be extremely tempermental with ANY MS product. Usually if TCP/IP is installed you will see systems IF there is a system doing DNS on the Network if not then in my experience the master Browser will use Netbeui to get and show you the name of the system. Somethings that I would try:

1. can you ping the IP addys of all of the systems?
2. can you ping then "name" of any of the systems?
3. are all the systems logging on to the Network with the same protocol (ie Client for MS Networks)?
4. are all the systems in the same workgoup?

Panther505 - You were correct in that NetBEUI wasn't installed on one of the PC's.
