"4 in 1" type drivers for SiS645?

Guys,

I'm going to be retiring my trusty Abit BH6 (daughter will take it to college next fall) system sometime in the first quarter and I'm intrigued by the SiS645 chipset for the P4. I'm looking at either the Asus P4S333 or the Soyo P4S Dragon Ultra. Other boards (non-SiS) I'm also considering include the new Shuttle KT266A board (for AthlonXP) or the Soyo K7V Dragon+. Whichever way I go it'll be DDR as I'm sitting on 512MB Crucial PC2100 that I bought during the "cheap" period of DDR (one has to get lucky once in a while!).

My question is this: w/ the SiS645 based boards, do you need to load a driver suite as you do for the Via chipset based boards (4 in 1)? FYI I'll be loading Win98SE on whatever platform I settle on.

With ANY motherboard you will need to load drivers for your motherboard. VIA calls them 4in1's. I wouldn't trust what is on the win98 disc, it may load up something that works, but to get the most compatibility and performance be sure to use what came with you motherboard or find a site to download the lastest drivers.

I recently bought an MSI Sis 645 board. They have only a set of 2 in 1 drivers (one for AGP and one for on board sound), and have had no problems with them or the board itself.

darth maul and venk, thanks for the replies. As of today, I'm leaning very heavily toward the Asus P4S333 SiS645 board and a P4-1.8G. I'll probably be building the system in a month or two, and who knows, things could change a lot between now and then.
