THE HOME RUNS BY LOS ANGELES' JEFF KENT, J.D. DREW, RUSSELL MARTIN AND MARLON ANDERSON IN THE NINTH INNING WERE HIT BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK.

Padres vs. Dodgers

9-5 going into ninth
4 consecutive hrs

Pads retake lead in 10th with 2 outs

Nomar walk off 2 run HR

I am sick to my stomach.

welp that sucked. nomar game winning 2-run homer. i tip my hats to the dodgers though, didnt give in and coming from a huge padres fan they deservedly earned that win. but still doesnt change the fact im going to have trouble sleeping tonight. i didnt even keep the tv on long enough to watch nomar even reach 2nd base. oh well.

I couldn't see it but from what I'm reading on this thing here this one of the most dramatic finishes in baseball history.

And the stakes couldn't really be any higher.

I am devastated.

We give up 4 run lead on consecutive homeruns.
We gain run back with two outs.
We give up 2 run home run to lose.

This must have been the feeling Yankee fans had in 2004...

UNBELIEVABLE

As a dodger fan living in San Diego, watching the game on Padres TV, that was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I could not even breathe after that 4th homerun and even after the padres scored in the 10th I knew we were going to win. After Lofton walked, I turned to my dad and said without a doubt in my mind that Nomar was going to hit a walk-off. Man, I still can't believe it.

For dodger games I've personally watched, that was more exciting than Nomo's no-hitter at coors field, and finley's walk-off home grand slam to cap a 7 run 9th and win the division against the giants. Wow.

Come on, where is the video clip for this?

go to ESPN.com, click on ESPN Motion. Video title "Unbelievable Finish, Nomar Nails HR in Extras"

Now you Padre fans now how us Dodger fans have felt all year.

I'm just glad my wife is a Red Sox fan - this year only one of us is biting our nails at the end of the season.

Im surprised that both teams scored so much considering who was pitching today.

I agree. Before the game started I thought to myself, "Oh, this is going to be a good pitchers duel!" I was obviously wrong.

And this is why you NEVER leave a baseball game before the last out's recorded. I bet the people who left early are kicking themselves in the nuts when they heard the news.

This just in, the Dodgers are going to the World Series.

No, that feeling was much worse, especially when you've waited hours in the rain for day-of tickets to the infamous "bloody sock" game. :disgust:

I'm a baseball fan and I still couldn't understand... "4 consecutive hours" of what...

But the Padres own LA this year overall.
