4 cores at 4Ghz pegged to 100% on Chrome tab close

All extensions disabled.
It didn't do this a year ago.

What's changed? I'm something of the opinion it's because I've run Windows Update a couple times (I used to be able to push all the way to >7.5GB ram used and swap off without problems, now when do this get errors occasionally, see other thread I made in Operating Systems), or typical lazy Google programming/80-20 rule/etc.

Is there some way I can profile it to see what's taking all this time???
