4 computers in home network and 1 ADSL line: How to effectively share the ADSL connection?

FYI,I connect the 4 computers using 100M/bit hub and I'm using an external ADSL modem provided by the telco and I'm using Windows 2000 Pro as the main OS. In my case, what is the best and secure way to share the ADSL connection? Built in ICS? Proxy?

Any advice?

Yes.

Don't let the fact that it's linux scare you.

I don't know JACK Squat about Linux, but I do understand networking fairly well. I had this machine set up in literally 10 Minutes:

Here's how it works:
1 Machine (386 Min),
1 Floppy
6 Megs Ram
2 Nics (for sharing high speed)

NO HD
NO CD ROM

1. Download the Disk Image
2. use the command RAWRITE to make your diskette
3. Insert the diskette into your new Computer, making sure to set the bios to boot from floppy
4. Configure your Options (IP Addresses, DNS Addresses, Default Gateway...etc).

If you want to see how easy it is to run, you can LMK via email, and I'll send you a User and Password for Telnetting into mine. It really is simple.

Apparently, I can't recieve any PMs so don't bother with that. 🙁

I think I will setup one computer as a host, install 2 NICs on it, and set ICS. The rest of the computer will be the clients. Any recommendation on firewall software?
