I'm in the market for a 2GB kit--Newegg, of course.

I've narrowed it down to 4 kits, all from--guess who? G.Skill.

Now, which? Overclocking is a yes... why else would you buy a value kit ;)

First one looks to be the best value, price-performance, whereas I've read 0 reviews on it (I checked G.Skill's website, and apparently it was just released)
It looks identical to the second, stock settings, but I've heard that the 2nd one can overclock quite well--whereas the first is an unknown.

I've read good and bad things about the third...

And the fourth, well, if it'll outperform them all then I don't mind shelling out the extra 30 bucks.

Which do you guys reccomend?

Also, $30 for a 5% performance increase (if that's what it is) is a no-no in my book. So if they'll all perform near identically then, well. First kit it is. :]
Mainly curious if anyone has any feedback about the first kit.

I'm planning on buying the red G.Skill #1 you posted above... why? Well, I don't OC, don't plan to, and even if I do, I hear the G.Skill OCs well anyway... plus, the first stuff is cheaper and you'll probably never see the difference. That's my opinion anyway. I'm a cheapskate so take it for what it's worth!

There isn't all that much point in shelling out for top of the line stuff, it's money better spent elsewhere 9/10 times.

However the expensive stuff is best, depends if you care enough about that 1-2% difference for $30.
