I am currently using Adobe Audition and using both the Left and Right channels of the line in on my tablet PC coupled with a mixer that has some XLR mic inputs. This gives me two available multitrack inputs. I record drums on one channel, and vocals bass and guitars on the other (as the drums volume varies greatly).
I would like to add a device that can input 4 additional channels via either SUB or PCMCIA. Preferably this device would have at least 2 channels with XLR plugs and Phantom power for mics, and one additional channel with high impedance for guitar/bass. Ideally this device would cost under $200 (even better if it were close to $150).
As and alternative, I would be willing to hook up two 2 channel devices.
Any ideas?
