4.28 and win2K.. ?? Don't install the ide busmaster??????

I heard that I'm not supposed to install the 4 in 1 busmaster drivers if I'm running win2K.. is this true? and why? thanks..

DO NOT. windows will look at your ide devices as scsi devices, and therefore almost all cdr software won't work.

Don't use the 4.28 version. Use the 4.29(final) version.

anything under 4.29 in win2k didn't work for me, but 4.29 works beautifully.

Same Here.

I'm running Win2k and have a TDK VeloCD 12/10/32 CDRW...Before 4.29, NOTHING but problems with the VIA Busmaster driver.

Now, my CDRW KICKS ASS with the new 4.29 driver!
