4:47 am - crap has anyone seen my linux cd???
4:52 am - rebooted machine linux does not load of cd :--(
4:55 am - linux welcome screen :--)
5:30 am - linux boots (how the hell do i change the res of kde)

DAM - Type Xconfigurator in at the terminal and you should be able to go from there.

I must be just as geeky, I just installed Red Hat this morning and that was my first question.

well, i just got back from the airport, still have not slept at all, i had to reinstall linux cause i was messing around with my vid card config and the monitor would start flashing and it wouldnt stop so i just started over.




how do i get to the command prompt from kde?


cause my installation goes straight to kde.

ok another problem, i got the resulution thing fixed, and i got my modem to work, it dials out and connects, however when i open up netscape it doesnt detect "www.something.com" it only detectes ip numbers. "202.020.2002.022" why is that???

i used kppp and it connects and gives me my ip and the ip im connecting too and everything, what am i supposed to have click?
