I just put them on my machine and man I'm impressed. Who said ATi couldn't write decent drivers? These things are awesome.

They brought my 3dmark2001 score up over 350 points, not even overclocking my card gave me results like this!

I dont mean to be rude but what great knowledge could you be sharing other than buy a DX8 card like you did? Were both running ATI7500s which is a DX7 Radeon with a die shink and faster RAM card. Our scores with the level of driver maturity is just under a really good Ultra's ,sofar the best drivers are these 6005's from Dell's Mobility7500. Hacked .ini versions are running rampant to cover all OS's, LOL, what does that tell you? :disgust: GeForce3 anything kicks the crap out of a 7500 in 3D#2k1, afterall it is a DX8 card with a DX8 test.

His scores are about average stock no special tweaks for 3D#, I pimped out my FSB and OC'ed to max while having a mild breakthrough with these drivers and the 4in1~37's. ;) I'm not trying to be too full of myself but my little ghetto special version of an Alienware is getting the best score for a 7500 in the 1400mhz CPU range - default bench.

His score is very very good for an ATI 7500. Comparing it too a gf3 is not even fair, maybe a gf2 ti would be a better comparison.

I'll say. I have my GeForce 2 GTS and CPU overclocked moderately, and my RAM pushed pretty hard, and the highest I've gotten is around 4300. I have a few bottlenecks in my system though. But anyhow, with a DX7 part like he and I have, 5100 is a pretty darn respectable score on a DX8 test.

NM: It was the same driver that was intended for 7500.

I'm still looking for official release ones.
