I don't see an evidence or data re: "unemployment in Sweden" that this is an issue, indeed the stats I see show it being a steady line since 2010...with predictions that Sweden's unemployment rate is dropping again by 2020.

Again...you don't realize how ridiculous it is (for me) when people from the US (which I assume) take SWEDEN and use it, from all countries, as an example to cite problems of unemployment, immigration and whatnot. It's simply hilarious given the reality in the US.

Even IF WE ASSUME that unemployment in Sweden is an issue or would, for some reason, become one in the future....from all countries in the world the unemployed in Sweden would actually have very little to worry. It's a "welfare nation" as good as it can even get with some unemployed likely better off than SOME people in the US who are working. Heck you know they pay children to go to school, right?

It's just unbelievable absurd when the leader of the US and his followers pick out Sweden in a ridiculous failed attempt of fearmongering about issues in their own country. Sporadic reports about whatever rape statistics and rapes allegedly committed by refugees won't change that. Would have more credibility to talk with actual Swedes how refugees, terrorism etc. actually and very real impact their lives. I'd say very little IF AT ALL.

People as a whole love to throw stones at those higher than themselves, if only to see them roll around in the mud as well. In this case, it can be used as an example of how things 'aren't that bad in the US', if you make others look as bad or worse from some perspectives. It's the same reason US news agencies never show middle-eastern cities with normal people doing normal stuff, it's always filmed on some_road in the desert, making the vast majority of the ME look like people live in some weird dustbowl wasteland.

The idea that Swedes might be doing something not only doing things right, but better than the US is an anathema to the powers that be within the US, as it erodes their power base and makes them look foolish.
