4.1 Klipsch question

Ok i have the SOYO FireDragon mobo which has built in 5.1 sound. If i bought the 4.1 speakers(see hot deals section for yesterday) what would i need to do about the channel i will missing with the 4.1? Can i just use my old speakers as the center channel?

on your sounds card, or in your case the ports on your motherboard, there are three that are there. one is your front, one rear and there is a 'digital' which is a combo for a sub and center speaker. If you just plug in the 4.1 to the front and rear, you woul dbe fine. Just set up in windows audio properties that you are using a 4.1, not 5.1 audio system. That will override all programs and only output on the 4.1 system, so that you would not have a missing channel.

Follow the instructions above. don't worry about "losing" your fifth channel, the klipsch system is quite immersive and the bass will make you think it is on its own separate channel.

I have the Promedia 4.1's and they are very very good. I got mine a little while before the 5.1's otherwise i probably would have gone for them, but there isnt much of a difference anyway. Definetly get them
