I am wondering if you guys use speakers stands on your 4.1 and 5.1 computer speaker system? I use them with my Boston Acoustics BA4800s.

I'm running two sets of the Klipsch 4.1's as a 8.2 setup. I have all 8 satellites wall mounted in relation to where I sit so the positional audio is as accurate as possible. :)

What stands do any of you recommend for the Logitech z-560s? Inquiring minds would love to know. :D

Thanks for any info you can provide,

it's still a 4.1 system, not 8.2

edit: it's still a 4.0 system, not a 4.1 system

My logitech Z560s are sitting on my desk, I've been meaning to build some stands for them because they have that screw that holds the desk stands on.

no stands here, I have my 560's setup around my "L" shaped desk as my main monitor is in the crook of the "L"

No one has their Logitech z560 rear speakers on real stands? Anyone know where I could pick up a pair?

Times like this I wish I was handy. :p Maybe I'll try to learn something once I get money.

Actually, smart ass, it's a 8.2 system running as a 4.1 system. Four front satellites sharing the front channels, and four rear satellites sharing the surround channels. The amplifier on both sets handles the bass to the subs. How exactly is it a 4.0 system pray tell mr. audio expert? Please enlighten me with your knowledge.

I never claimed I had 8 channels coming off of my sound card, it's just how I have them hooked up. Read carefully...

The numbers are for discrete channels, not speakers. You're only using 4 discrete channels...yeah i know what you mean when you say 4.1 but it gets annoying when you have to deal with that over and over and over :p

Fair enough, I think I took your post the wrong way, and I apologize...I hadn't had my coffee yet. ;) I still disagree with you a little bit, specifically on the .1 in 4.1. My particular sound card, the Philips AE, does put out 5 distinct channels on a 4.1 set. I know what you are saying, and I sort of agree. When you think of 4.1, you imagine three hookups right? 1 for the 2 front channels, 1 for the 2 rear channels. and 1 for the sub. However, there are no 4.1 speaker sets to my knowledge, computer speakers I mean, that have the sub hook up separately. Most of these 4.1 sets take the LFE signal from the soundcard, and the amplifier sends the appropriate signals to the sub. I'm assuming you mean it's not 4.1 unless the sub hooks up directly to it's own channel..right? Anyway, I understand what you are saying and I apologize if I took your first post the wrong way..:)

it's cool, but lately i've been working with some mods for my speaker systems, and accurately representing the channels was very important during the planning stage, and i started getting annoyed everytime i saw it done wrong :p
