I too have three monitors, though they're 24". You should really, really be playing some CoD on there.

What do you need all that for? I used to have a similar setup at work... do you work from home?

Wow that's an awesome setup. Currently I'm running a Dell 27" with two flanking Samsung 22", but the 3x 30" is my dream.

Don't say this much in this economy but Disposable Income FTW!

That's gotta be around a $3000 setup no? Some serious productivity there.

I don't think I could get used to cracking my head 90 degrees to my left every time I wanted to click an icon on my desktop :(

usually I have the start menu on the center screen but when I change to grouping monitors vs extended the left monitor is the only choice. The task bar runs the full length of the monitors.

grouping for the win when gaming extended for the win with I am in windows.. I need to work on profiles so it will auto switch between the two.

Also, have we reached a plateau of sorts as far as falling prices of large monitors? The Dell 30" has been out for at least 4 years yet the price hasn't lowered at all. It's going for $1400 now, yet I remember deals back around when it came out where you could get it for less than $1200. Compare this to 24" monitors: I bought my Dell a year after the line came out for $700 and it's down to $550 now, with the cheaper panel variants going for under $200.

Why not? We do these things because we're nerds. We love tech, we love gadgets, we love tinkering and we fucking love huge porn.

Err what's the point if you only really gonna use 2 of em

I had 3 1680x1050 monitors for a while and it's just too much horizontal span. 4 of them in a square set up would work a ton better.

So you're only going to use two, therefore no one else will use more than two either? This stuff is cool tech - this is a tech forum, so expect people to be passionate about their cool tech.

My brother and I built this one. Maybe I will build another desk one of these days.
Solid maple planks glued together. then shaped and finished.
