My first time using triple GPUs of any kind (ATI or Nvidia). Tight fit there with the HD5870s slotted into PCI-E x16 #1 + #3 + #5 slots.

By the way, I live in Texas, but spent a semester in Brisbane during my undergrad a while back. Can't wait to get back someday.
 
This is a cool thread, thanks for the pics. I was curious as to what you get on just ONE 5870, no OC? Could you post similar pics for that?

What you posted here gave me some great ideas, but I am so curious as to what we can get with ONE?

Also, is it possible to run 2 monitors in crossfire, and even better 3?

i think driver work is being done for that but no idea. I haven't bothered with single 5870 yet as tri-cf is more fun 😀

yup confirmed these new 9.12 beta (8.14.10.0716) drivers are bloody awesome for 3x HD5870 Tri-CrossfireX - new personal best scores all round for me. Even managed to squeeze out a bit more on my W3570 using 29x multi instead of 27x multi and jump in vcore from 4614mhz at 1.448v to 4695mhz 1.520v.
