How the hell can they say that? They say that IV drug users routinely get HIV from sharing needles, yet when something like this happens they say that you can't get it.
I think they're lying in an attempt to prevent public hysteria.
No, it's probably because the girl and her mother are HIV negative.
They can backtrack infections, you know.
It's also because if anyone tested positive now, odds are very high it was pre-existing. It takes weeks before HIV infections show up in tests.
