Dell is starting to piss me off! They use crap parts now...even with their business line products. This is the 3rd Dell SX280 that had a hard drive die within a year. It's probably the poor cooling design that causes the drives to over heat.

I opened a couple more sx280's to check on the hard drive temperature and they're all different models. I've seen Maxtor, WD, and Seagate drives in the SFF computers so far. I thought the optiplex line was their business computers that are supposed to be super stable?

Guess we won't be buying anymore all-in-one computers from them.

The SX series have had a ton of problems in my experience. Out of the 20 I have sold to customers, I have had about 15 with problems ranging from a bad motherboard to hard drive issues.
