3in1 Digital Camera and Mp3 player $30

Stumbled upon at Half.com a vender is selling a Sampo 3in1 web cam for $35dollars.
Coupled with any currently available $5 off current or new customer coupon code
it effectively comes down to $30.

It supports Mp3 playing, Web cam and the obvious Digital Camera mode.
I just received them, they seem to be pretty good, the quality is above average
for a 640x480 cam. and MP3 playing is kinda decent and includes headphones.

Note that it saids 8meg included, but the 3 orders I received all have 16meg compat flash so
it's a pretty safe bet that it does include 16 megs.

Also, there's only win98 and 2000 drivers, however I tried it with Xp and encountered no problems
so far.

Since it doesn't come with the right software, it's hard to tell
what the image rating is.

It uses twain interface so any good image editor (Paint Shop Pro, Adobe) can read from the camera.
As for the software. you can download the whole software package at their site at

Got mine today and wow what can I say. It really sucks. Interface sucks. Software sucks. Besides the fact that it doesn't even work...the image thumbnails and full versions keep "downloading" until I pull the (usb) plug, at which point it shows that a portion of the first image has been downloaded. I transferred an mp3 to it and listened so I don't think it's bad flash, which was 16MB by the way. I started up the video viewer and it pulses an image that is completely tinted green and has random bars of random colors.
