3GB or 4GB DDR3 Ram ?

I'm customizing a Dell Studio 14 Laptop on there website, which im goin to buy soon. It has a Core-i3 processor, 1Gb Mobility Radeon Hd 5450 gpu and by default 3Gb DDR3 Ram.
Is there any need to upgrade it to 4Gb ram .
Also are there any issues in using RAM lesser than 4gb on 64bit Windows 7 home premium.
 
I'd go for 4GBs as long as the price difference wasn't too high. The slower laptop HD is going to be your real choke point.
