Hi guys. I know this is not technically a PC related problem but given the vast amount of knowledge you guys possess I have no one to go to but you guys.

I have a LG 3DTV (that requires glasses) and whenever I play ps3/4 (destiny, call of duty) I get this really annoying checkerboard looking thing. Is there anything wrong with my TV and how do I fix this?

Has the PS4 been upgraded to firmware 1.75? Supposedly the update was only for movies, but wouldn't hurt to make sure you are up to date.
 
And you are using the glasses that came with the TV? Is this with the glasses on, off, or both? HDMI?

If you don't get any more responses, consider asking a mod to move this over to audio video, or video cards in graphics. I have had to do that before to find one that works.

I see thank you. The game is actually in 2D and I'm not using the glasses. This is through HDMI from my PS4 directly to TV

Gotcha. That would seem to work without issue then. So can I assume you have had this on another TV and didn't experience this issue? You might want to see if the HDMI cable is causing the problem, if you haven't already.
 
I switched my HDMI cable and the problem persist. It's hard to imagine it's the TV or PS4's problem as they are fairly new (both bought within last year)
