3DMark2005 killed my 9800 Pro??

Yesterday I installed and ran 3DMark2005. I got a 1076. Which is low. A couple of hours later I remembered that I had x16AF and AAx6 on in the ATI control panel. So I turned them off and ran 3Dmark2005. uh oh, it says that I don't have anyway hardware that supports the features of 2005 "please use 2003 or 2001". Not good I think. But it loads into the main screen anyway and show that I havea Radeon9800Pro. So I go to run 2003 and it says that I hardware doesn't support DXTC 1 and 3. So I try 2001. And it says the same thing, but works anyway. Also, several times I tried to go through the properties>settings>advanced to get to the control panel (because i didn't have the tray icon at the time) and I got a blue screen memory dump 3 times in a row. Is my Radeon dead????

Can you pull it out and test it in a friend's computer? Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall your drivers? Tried a different set of drivers?

I have the same exact problem. Currently running the 4.8 omegas, haven't had time to try any different sets of drivers.

It's only 3dm, so I'll let it slide

Yes, it's dead. Please send it to me for an immediate autopsy. Actually, just try re-installing the driver package from ATI.

Try booting to safe mode and uninstalling the drivers, run drivercleaner, then install them again in safe mode and see if that fixes it.

When I first downloaded and installed 2k5, I was using the 4.9 betas (for Doom3 I believe) and it wouldn't run, so I got the official 4.9s and it ran. After I got my 1076 score and realized I had AF and AA on full, I tired them off and thats when it started. After I dropped AF and AA off, it stopped working. Since then I have tried the 8.07 betas, with no luck, and I've gone back to the official 4.9s now. Just to let you know there was no driver changes between it working and not working.
