3DMark2001SE Results DOUBLED

Strange problem i have here..

When i have my Chaintech AV-710 card enabled, my 3dmark2001se score drops to ~10 000. All the random dsps are switched off, changed drivers (even reformatted in the first place to troubleshoot the problem, adding stuff as i went along and benching stuff).

The card uses the Envy HT-P chip, (its the same thing on the stereo jack, envy-ht/wolfson dac, as the m-audio revo cards). My board is an Epox 9NA3J (same as 3+ - the 1394).

Now disabling the card, on my A64 3000+ winnie (oc'ed to 2.4 ghz 😀), 1gb ram, 9800 pro, gives 24 000 marks on 2001se...

Anybody think it could be something to do with the mobo?

I would play your games and if they run fine forget about 3dMark 2001.

Additionally i have never seen a 9800Pro give that kind of performance. 24000!?

Just forget about 3dmark and play your games.

Yeah, i am one of those who just cares about the fps not the marks.

By chance, i was swapping some cables, knocked the vga cable to my gfx card (never screwed it in...😱 ), and it cut out, or at least to the display. So while screwing it in, i moved the av-710 a slot up...benched and got ~22000 marks 🙂

The bench does seem high (i have never oc'ed my 9800p), pleasantly high though, though it won't publish the results though as it couldn't detect my processor :/
