3DMark2001 SE & DirectX9: UPDATED 1/14/02

I get an error when I attempt to load 3DMark saying it's basically 8.1 compatible only. However, I see posts all over google about people running 3DMark after installing DX9. Help?

I did search the forums for 3dmark directx 9 and it returned no results.

you are also using diff ver of Dets. that makes a diff to...

Nope, all stocks.

with my 9700 pro my 3dmark stayed the same. It scored better in some tests but also scored worse in others. Still getting right around 12100.
