I have a new Soltek SL-75FRN Nforce2 m/b and a AMD2100 Tbred /2 sticks of 512 mb Kingston 2700 ddr ram/ AGP card ATI 9500 Pro fresh install of windows 2000 pro with updates and DirextX 9.0
When I first installed and O/C it to 2700 speeds it ran fine and 3dmark score was 1300+ ran prime95 and after an hour or so got errors so I played with the fsb/multiplyer/memory timings/ It seemed to like 166/13x with turbo memory settings. But every time I clear the cmos and reboot it reads the cpu as a athlon 1500 with a fsb of 100. (the very first time I booted the comp it recognized the cpu as a 2100+) now I have to manually set the bios it to stock 2100+ settings if I clear the cmos. and now when I run 3dmark at overclocked settings or stock settings I only get scores in the 6000 range tried reinstalling 3dmark and the patch. same thing and Help wpuld be appreciated Im going to try to reinstall the ATI Drivers

You wouldn't possibly be running AIM or any other programs while you're running 3DMark would you? I know that if I run AIM my score goes from 16k to 8k. I think it has something to do with the catalyst 3.1 driver, because it wasn't doing that with my previous driver. When you get the 1500+ settings that means that it had an overclock error. The front side bus was changed from 133 to 100, but the multiplier did stay at 13. It happens all the time, nothing real uncommon. I would try setting your timings to optimal. You will only get a 100 to 200 point increase on 3DMark for faster RAM timings.
