I've downloaded and ran the 3DMark2000 program, and got what I thought to be good results, an 1877. I ran the default benchmark, with hardware accelerated T&L with my 32MB GeForceMX. I then compared this to other ppl's average results, only to find that I my system was 3 to 4 times slower than others with the same setup. I only have 96MB of RAM, WinME, and a T-Bird 800 with KT7-RAID. Not a shabby setup. I tried everything to get this thing to run. As I went through the stats comparisons, I noticed that it was my CPU scores that were so low, and everything dealing with the GeForce were fine. It listed my T-Bird800 as in the same class with a K6-2 400!!! This is obviously not right, especially with WCPUID saying it was running fine, as well as my BIOS was set up correctly. I ran this benchmark on my brother's computer, an Athlon "classic" 850, 128MBRAM, and a TNT Vanta. He scored a 1782, right below me. I compared the CPU Test scores, and his 850 classic outscored mine by over double!!! This cannot be right. I changed the test to utilize just the Athlon, and not the hardware T&L. This alone brought my 3DMark scores from 1877 to 3060. Strange, huh? But the weird thing is, is that my CPU scores still are still around the same mark. My computer runs fine throughout, and nothing is wrong. The fill rates and everything are excellent. Could this be a problem with drivers??? Or the operating system??? Would a clean format and reinstall fix this problem???
