I recently upgraded my entire system (except for my hard-drives, CDROMS, etc.) from:

800MHz/100MHz FSB PIII
512 PC-100 SDRAM
ASUS CUV-X/AGP-2x Max

To:

1400MHz/133MHz AMD TBird
512 PC-2100 Micron DDR-SDRAM
ASUS A7M266/AGP-4x Max

Using a 32MB GeForce II GTS to run 3DMark2000, I was able to get up to around 8k 3D Marks using my old system...I was hoping my new system would blow it away...I was wrong. I'm getting something like 60% of the 3D Marks of my original system?!?!?!!? What the hell?!?!?

Well, I'm thinking it could be that the vid card is hooked up to my Samsung SyncMaster 170MP...hogging resources? Anyone else with similar experiences? Unfortunately, my old monitor is busted...so I can't really test if it's just the monitor, but I'm slightly shocked that my new system's polygon pushing power is not what I expected.

If you're referring to the 3DMark 2000 Update/patch: yes, I installed it.

If you're referring to something else...you'll need to elaborate as to which AMD chipset drivers. I'm assuming you're talking bout the one that came on the CD packaged with the motherboard, in which case, the answer is yes.
