There is nothing wrong with those scores. It even showed a bar graph where most people with your setup score. The Graphics score is the best score to focus on, as that doesn't change with the CPU, at least not as much.

If you want 13k, you will have to OC the CPU. Oh, and don't forget, 3dmark11 loves more threads. An i5 will not score as high as an i7.

As a reference, the last time I benchmarked a 680, the graphics score was ~9900, your scored 14462. That is a very healthy graphics score.

Because you don't have your CPU overclocked to 4.8 GHz+ like a lot of benchers?

3dmark's total score is affected by everything. CPU speed (physics test), CPU type (eg i7 vs i5, x79 CPUs score the best) and memory speed. All of the best scores maximize all of the above. As mentioned the best point to focus on for solely testing graphics card speed is the graphics score.

thanks guys I figured that was what was holding me back, still didn't really think it would affect the score to that extent, I mean I see 7970's scoring around my score but those builds are stronger in other areas like you mentioned

OP, your score looks pretty good to me.
