3dmark05 score, is this ok?

Hey everyone, i just ran 3dmark05 and my score was 2432 with 1280/1024 settings, no AA.

Here are my specs.

athlon 64 winchester 3000+ clocked at 2.25 gig
1 gig kingston ram at 420hz
7200 rpm drive
hercules 9800xt classic 256 meg clocked at 430/760.

How does my score add up? do i need to reinstall windows or get some other graphics drivers? thanks!

And in case your wondering, thats not a standard bench. A standard benchie would be with 1024X768, run it agian with that setting and we'll talk.

actually it doesn't really matter. In his case since he's running 1280 that resolution must be native to him. So you can use that score to judge whether his system is capable at such resolution

Doesn't matter if it's native for him or not, he needs to run at 1024X768 because thats what everyone else runs at which gives a basis for the scoring...

Ok, i ran it again at the standard settings and got a score of 3115. Any comments? thanks 🙂

Yes that is a good score, what catalyst drivers are you using?

i'm using the omega drivers based off of the 3.4 catalyst set.

same here, it's kind of a delima because you've got the fact that the new official ATI drivers are suppose to have a 5-10% increase score in 3D mark '05 but you also got the fact the omega drivers are generally more efficient than ATi's standard drivers/more flexible. Well I can't wait until the 3.6/3.7 omega drivers, better '05 score and the flexibility of the omega driverset.
