very strange. when i start up 3dmark05 and it runs the system scan. when i display the SLOT section details, it sees one of my cards, but shows nothing in the 2nd PCI-16 slot. It's clearly there, as the hardware section of My Computer sees both of them in the correct slots, and I am running the latest Nvidia drivers.

I got the same results with 3dMark06.

Any ideas why this is? My scores are around 11000, the same as they were before i added the 2nd card in SLI...

thanks!

Did you enable SLI in the drivers? It's not automatic. Also, try reinstalling the drivers. Or make sure the power is hooked up to both.

I tried the 7900GTX SLI one month ago. 3D Mark will not show the SLI on the main screen, but the benchmark should reflect it.

It is going to be higher, but do not expect double the performance. Anywhere between 25% and 50%, depending on the resolution and goodies.

yes, I have SLI checked under the Nvidia console. In fact, when I pulled in the cards, I got a baloon that said I could run SLI mode and to click here. I did and it put them in SLI mode.

It's wierd. i am getting exactly the same 3dmark05 score as when I had a single 7900GTX..

Yea, I have PCI-E power connectors to both cards. I tried the drivers that came with the boards and also downloaded the latest drivers as well.

I'm pretty sure I am operating successfully in SLI mode, as when I go into DOOM3 now and set the graphics for ULTRA, it not longer gives me a warning that this setting may cause slow game results. I did get that message with only a single 7900 GTX installed.
