my first benchmark, got a 5659. is that normal?

Hmm I'm scoring slightly higher than that (>5700) on a P4 3.06 on a 533 bus. What version of 3D Mark 03 are you using? Version 330 is the patched version that disables all cheats and optimizations. The benchmark for the most part is worthless other than the mother nature scene, I only run it for the visuals.

im using the one that is 177mb.. the full install one one the site. dont know other details

There is a patch on futuremarks website that disable's cheats/optimizations it isn't that big apply that to your full version. Also check your settings in the dispay and make sure it is set to performance NO AA/AF. Also I dont remember what the compatiability setting's are at default with the new catalyst 3.7 driver's make sure triple buffering is off when benchmarking. You most deffinitely want to enable triple buffering and turn v-sync on when playing games.

yea i guess i should disable some of that stuff...i just ran the test and didnt mess with anything...just wanted to try it out first
