I'm running 3DMark03 on the new Cat 3.7s with Soundstorm on a NF7-S rev 2. EVERY time I get to the sound test it goes for a little bit and gets a freakin blue screen (plain blue, no text no nothing), then restarts. This happening with anyone else??

Nope, it's not happening here. I have an NF7-S R2 as well. Did you uninstall the previous Cats properly before installing the 3.7s?

I have noticed with the Cat 3.6 Unreal Tournament crashes like a big dog, but Unreal 2003 runs fine on my 9500 and 9700 Pro. Of course, my Geforce with the 44.03 runs both flawlessly.;)

Do you have the latest OpenGL DLL for UT, as well as the proper OpenGL settings? UT works perfectly for me with the Cat 3.6's ... the only problem is that in Botmatch the game gets too fast to play - with FPS in the 300's the game speed actually increases.

Where would I get this DLL and what are the proper Open GL settings for Unreal Tournament? I see alot of people here run UT in open GL, but i haven't set it up properly because when I try it looks dark with very low details. I run Direct3D on my GF4@332/684 on my Barton @ 2300MHz and using 1600 x 1200 with no FSAA or AF it looks absolutely fabulous and averages well over 125fps.

Go here and download the latest OpenGL patch, which is the file called utglr23.zip. After unzipping, replace the old OpenGLDrv.dll file in the UnrealTournament > System folder.

Go into the file UnrealTournament.ini (also in the UnrealTournament > System folder) and find the line with your OpenGL settings - it looks like this: [OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice] .

delete the settings under the line [OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice] , and replace it with this:

RefreshRate=85
DetailTextures=1
UseTrilinear=1
UseS3TC=1
UseTNT=0
LODBias=0
UseMultiTexture=1
UsePalette=1
UseAlphaPalette=0
Translucency=1
VolumetricLighting=1
ShinySurfaces=1
Coronas=1

^ You can change RefreshRate to whatever you want it to be, also.

That ought to get you up and running!

Oh yeah and make sure you have the OpenGL high-res textures installed from the UT CD2. If you thought D3D UT looked "absolutely fabulous" then you haven't seen anything yet! You'll never go back once you play with OpenGL high-res textures!

Thanks, both the 9500 and 9700 Pro work great now. I also tried it in my Geforce4, and it does have sharper detail. Average frames dropped to about 120fps at 1600 x 1200, but still more than fast enough. Of course this will start another debate, but the GF4 has absolutely gorgeous color saturation with the 44.03's, both Radeons look washed out and flat in comparison.
