Sorry, I'm too lazy to reply.

Just kidding. Looks like a reasonable score in Win98 using the default benchmark settings. I have a GeForce DDR and a PIII700 cA2 @805. I get about 5600 with 6.31 drivers. Just looking at the MadOnion results browser I see teh top score for a PIII733 + GeForce DDR is 6140 and there are lots above 5500. Many of these are highly overclocked GeForces. If you are running yours at default clock then you are doing well.

Silly, silly, silly :p It's a documented fact that 3DMark is the worst benchmark ever created :D:D

It is? Please direct me to this official document. I'd like to see it.

3dmark isnt a good benchmark to compare different videocards

HOWEVER, it is a great tool testing your own system and comparing it with similarsystems(ie same video cards, cpu), as well as testing your own optimisations.

3DMark is good at testing tweaks on your system thats IT! It varies horribly between systems even when they run games at the same speed.

Actually 3Dmark2000 is a wonderful benchmark. It gives out very detailed information on how well various subsystems of your video card (such as polygon througput rate, AGP texturing performance) work. However, as the number one video card guru of these boards, BenSkywalker has repeatedly said, people should stop focusing on 3Dmarks as a performance indicator. It's a misleading number, some sort of strange weighted average out of the individual results. It really only encourages 3Dmark2K's abuse (people cheating to get a higher score).

[edit]
wolf550e: Your score seems about right. 3Dmarks depend solely on video card on any modern system. Not that there's any reason to upgrade from a GeForce-class accelerator, at least in my opinion :)
