3dMark register AGP 2x with a 4x card

I recently ran 3dMark 2001 SE on a machine with a Gigabyte GA-7VAX motherboard and a Gainward Geforce 4 Ti4200 video card. The 3dMark results said that the board did AGP 1x and AGP 2x, and said the card was at AGP 2x. Of course, the board will go to AGP 8x and this Ti4200 will go to AGP 4x. Is 3dMark reading it wrong? Is there a way to know whether I am using AGP 4x? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide!
