3dmark/PCmark Vantage : Trial version good enough?

Just put together a new system last week:

i7-930 @ 3.8ghz w/ HT off
Corsair XMS3 4gb 8-8-8-24-1N
Sapphire HD5850 @ 725/1000 (stock atm)

My scores were the following:

3dmark Vantage (trial version): 15-16k
PCmark Vantage (trial version): 9.5k

Are those scores kinda low? normal? If I ended up using a non-trial version of 3dmark/pcmark would I get better results?

edit: One more question about ATI CCC's auto tuner. I know it's not the greatest software to use for OCing, but just testing things out, when I click it, my screen shows red/green/yellow striped lines on my primary monitor. Is it normal/correct to see that pattern when it's doing auto tune? And how long should it take? I'm sitting about about 15-20 min now.

Thanks.

What was the breakdown on your score. GPU=??K CPU=??K I'm guessing GPU 14K CPU 18K

Just escape out of the auto tune. Take both sliders and max them out and hit apply. That is of course if they are the standard 775/1125 I think it is. Your card should do that pretty easy. Guess anything beyond that you'd need third party apps or something.

I wound up just purchasing 3dmark Vantage and PCmark Vantage as a bundle for $25 I think it was. I'm not sure if it'll give you a higher score but it does give you the ability to run in diff resolutions, change settings, pick the test's you wanna run etc. Also you get to view your results off-line. I think it was worth it. But then again I like to tinker around with my system alot so I've gotten alot of use out of it so far. :)

Shoot, I can't remember the breakdown, but around 14k/18k seems close enough.

I may look into purchasing a license for the 3dmark programs. What 3rd party programs are good for getting higher OCs beyond CCC's limits?

edit: Nvm, just read your other thread that I posted and saw you were using different bios and RBE. I'll take a look into the RBE software. thx.

Which card did you wind up getting. Link to it may help others make suggestions for overclocking options.

From what I've read, this one doesn't allow you to adjust/change gpu voltages, but it should still OC fairly decent on stock voltage settings.

I started to mess around with MSI Afterburner, but I'm having a lot of trouble trying to get the card to keep it's OC after closing the MSI program as well as trying to get it to underclock down during 2D mode.

I edited the cfg file to allow for unofficial OC past 775 CCC limit, but the moment I close MSI, it reverts back to CCC default settings.
