This is sure to slap my rig around like a little b*tch. But I'm going to give it a try nonetheless. :p

Holy crap. It's going to look amazing.. and more than likely bring our scores back down to the quadruple digits... maybe even triple.

Oh ... my ... God.

Now I feel like I need to wait for G80 / R600 instead.

Man ... look at that. Spectacular !

Now kiddies, lets learn some things.

3DMark is NOT, I repeat NOT a game. All 3DMark does is tell you how fast your video card is. But we all know how fast our video cards are. So why do we care about the next 3DMark?

Because it shows what your GPU can do and what games COULD look like.

And because its so pretty!

I normally share this sentiment, but this version of 3DMark looks interesting. I don't play 3DMark, but it's fun for the first week it's out. :p

Oh man... that would be awful.

That certainly looks amazing... but default 3dmark @ 1024x768 won't look so hot. And at higher settings I have a feeling all the cards will simply get slaved...

Great, so it looks like another generation where 8K on the previous one yields 3K on the new one. Nvidia and ATI probably pay 3dmark millions of dollars per year, because a disheartening 3dmark score is often a cause for upgrade, as well as a sign that games to come will be humbling your PC.

the x300 is my waiting for ATI/nvidia get this whole mess sorted out and prices fall to sane levels for a 512MB card. I could go out and buy either card within the next month, but it wouldnt be nice on my grades(midterms suck) or my wallet.

nice

another 3dmock.....it serves its purpose i guess. while id never go by 3dmarks alone, theres no doubt they are a consistent and level way of pitching gpus against each other. 3d mark will never be the be all and end all of graphics though
