3DMark and DX9

I installed DX9.0b and I can't get 3Dmark 2001 to run anymore. I'v uninstalled 3D and reinstalled it but it keeps coming up with a messge box saying I need DX8 installed to run it. Any ideas?
 
Same thing happened to me a bunch of times. Make sure you have the absolute latest version - uninstall your current version and reinstall the new version and it should work fine.
 
i have the latest version of 3dmark01 and i still cant run it.. was it a separate file??? or did the newest full installs correct it? i cant access their site to look into it
