3DMark 2001se score won't improve?!?

I don't get this.

On my Titan3 Geforce3, I scored ~8300 on AMD XP2000+ (1666mhz, 133mhz FSB)
Same Titan3 Geforce3, but this time on a AMD XP1600 (~1770 mhz 169mhz FSB)... I scored ~8300.

Same thing happened with a Radeon 9500 non-pro I had.
10,300 with original cpu
10,300 with overclocked cpu (~9200 w/ 2x antialiasing)

shouldn't these score have improved?

Currently running ...
WinXP Pro
AMD @ 1.77ghz
512 megs of memory (2x256, low timings)
adaptec 29160, atlas 10kII 36.7, firewire, sb live, and some other stuff that I don't think will mater with these scores.

Try 3DMark 2003, much improved over 2001...
