3dmark 2001se + MSI TI4200= bad lobby scene

Just wanted to bounce something off you guys, maybe you can help me out. Just picked up an MSI TD8X64 card (ti4200 64mb agp 8x) and very thoroughly enjoy the thing, with one small exception; it pauses during the lobby scene in 3dmark 2001se and then continues as if nothing happened once the scene "times out". Everything else runs perfectly fine, games, the remainder of the tests in 3dmark, you name, just this one little thing is screwy. I upgraded from a Inno3D GF2 GTS, no clean install, windows XP pro, MSI k7tPro2a mainboard, 512MB, 1.3Ghz Tbird, 350watt PS, new detonator drivers. Any thoughts? I would really appreciate it.

I've had the same exact card and it never gave me that problem. Sounds like some old drivers have been left behind. So I would get a det. destroyer or just do a fresh install of Windows... Before that though uninstall the old drivers and re-install a new one of your choice. 41.09's are pretty sweet for gamers

Clean install is the best way to go. I just got a new video card as well and i'm about to format and do a fresh install.

I had the same problem when I overclocked my Ti4200. All of the tests run fine until I hit the second lobby test, where the demo just quits. When it DOES complete, though, I get a score over 12000 :)
